Love in the Kitchen (Recipes)

When you think about a virtuous wife one of the most important components that comes to mind is cooking. We all know that cooking is not every woman's forte but it is important to have this on your list of things you do to be more like Sarah. Many women of old worked hard to prepare and receive their meals for the day. It could take all day to have food prepared for the next day to eat. They where responsible to skin their meals so in the 21st century we must count our blessings to know all we have to do is go down to the nearest market for our meals. There is a saying that quote, "Through a man's heart is through his stomach". I will like to change it up a little that will be a bit more pleasing to Yahweh's eyes and that will be "Through our husband's heart is through his stomach". Knowing this, most men do brighten up right away when they see a home cooked meal ready for them to indulge in, at least I know my Lord does. Many of us see our husbands with a big smile, they might start rocking and some even start to dance just to know their belly's will be satisfied. We as wives do not have to be the best cooks to have this checked off  our to do list to become more virtuous, but it is pleasing if we at least try. Always remember, practice makes perfect!

Breakfast:

Starting off the morning with a good breakfast is very important as a wife to aid in your family's health and well being. When you compare a virtuous mother to just a mother we do make it a priority to make sure our children is fed before school that aid in their growth. With our Lord's we work on and make it a priority if they are not fasting for the day there is a good breakfast for them to indulge in as well.

Beef round steak hugging turkey/cheese over a bed of rice surrounded by mushrooms, onions and peppers

Ingrediants:
  • 1 package beef eye round steak thin (1.67pd)
  • Your choice of turkey, ham, or bacon
  • Your choice of cheese (I used shreded monterey jack cheese)
  • Your choice of vegetables (I used onions, peppers, and mushrooms)
  • Rice (I used 2 bags of Uncle Bens)
Directions:

Follow the directions with the rice. Season your steak according to your liking. Place your choice of sliced meat on one side of your steak, then add your choice of sliced or shreded cheese on top. Take one end of the steak and roll it to the other end and place a toothpick in the middle to keep steak together. Turn oven on to 350 degrees so it can preheat. In a skillet/pan have stove turned on to medium high pour in just a little of vegetable oil in pan, just enough to get the entire base of pan wet. Carefully place your steaks in pan and let it cook on one side about 5-7 min or until dark brown, then flip on other side and do the same (you will have to push the toothpick in through the other side when you turn steak over. When done place all steaks in a sheet pan to place in the oven for about 10 minutes, just long enough to get the juices going in the steak and to allow the cheese to absorb in the meat. Take your onions peppers and mushrooms cut in slices or dice and put in a skillet/pan with a little butter and your choice of seasoning and allow to marinated to your preference.

*Note-with my rice I put a little butter and sugar for my liking
